The greatest city in the world, an economical center, a shining symbol of capitalism and America, and in this fabulous city people are left in the dark living like the last 100 years of technological progress never occurred. That’s just pathetic. Luckily No one I care about was seriously effected by this outage.

Anyway as a result of this electrical shortage stuff all over the city was running a little differently.

Last week I get on the subway, on my way to work and all the overhead lights are out. I assume the MTA was trying to conserve power. The only thing that seemed to be lit up inside the car was the bright yellow digital sign proudly displaying the flashing F line information. I grab a seat and curiously wait to see what a train ride in the dark will be like. Over the course of my lifetime and all of my commuting I have seen the lights go out for a few seconds here and there, but never longer. I have to say it was pretty damn cool.

The subway pulls out of the station and into the darkness of the tunnels. Everything and everyone are engulfed by shadows and turned into silhouettes, dimly illuminated by the eerie yellow glow of the only light source. These shadows are momentarily banished by the bright flash of the trains electricity sparking off the tracks, similar to lightening. These flashes screw up your pupils and make everything seem darker and creepier. It was like a scene out of a horror movie. I stared at my fellow strap hangers in complete fascination. It was like seeing ghosts, or souls of the damned on a evil train of doom. It reminded me of a carnival haunted house fright ride. As a fan of the horror genre I have to say it totally rocked! I really think you had to be there but I hope my description did the experience at least a little justice.

Well my last post has occupied the better part of this page for a bit too long, and a lot has changed so time for another long overdue update!

The biggest change in my life is that I now have a Job! YAY! YAY! WOOOOOOOOOO!
It’s a good Job!

Should I tell you all a little about it? Of course I should.

So a friend got me in to a computer support position for a large trading firm. I work an off shift of 3pm to 11pm- Sunday through Thursday. Which is awesome for my night owl mentality. I never over sleep, (it’s practically impossible to do when you have to wake up at 2PM to get to work on time) I have my Friday and Saturday nights totally free to party, which I have been doing fairly regularly, and even when I over do it on a Saturday night, I just have to drag my hung over ass to work by 3.

The commute to this place is also amazing, I can walk out my door at 2:20 to be at work by 3, and I catch an 11:30 bus and am usually home by 12. We are talking about a little over a 30 minute commute each way. Now that rocks HARD!

On to the job description! It is totally me, I am alone from 6-11 so I need to be a jack of all trades (luckily that’s what I excel at). My main job is watching the servers to make sure nothing goes wrong with them, when issues arise I have to connect to the servers and resolve the problems. While waiting for things to break I also support about 15 people between my office, Chicago and Hong Kong, so I wait for the phone to ring. If nothing breaks then I can sit there and watch TV! Now how much does that rule! I have my foot in the door in the financial industry and am learning about all sorts of trading technologies and software, which is interesting, challenging and will make me so much more employable in the future.

My manager is amazing, My coworkers are great and I am very happy with my salary. I am working with servers and learning new things. Overall I would be hard pressed to be happier working anywhere. After all they wouldn’t pay you for it if it wasn’t work.

In other news I am currently involved in an artistic endeavor which is coming nicely to fruition. Eschatone records is just about ready for business, and things are looking really promising with it. You can check out the myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/eschatone. The official website will be up and running soon. www.Eschatone.com.

I have to say it is great working with partners who are intelligent and hardworking, and not ignorant psychopaths who stab you in the back and steal from you (like one of my ex business partners and other people I have had business dealings with). We are all working together doing what we are good at with a common goal and it’s becoming a reality. It reminds me that there are good people to do business with in this world, and then there are the other scumbags out there who are only out for themselves. I am feeling optimistic about having weeded most of the manipulative bloodsuckers out of my life! But lets not contemplate the negatives!

I am really feeling pretty good about my life right now. Awesome job, Excellent friends, Fantastic apartment. After a string of not so great luck, it looks like I am on a roll now and everything is falling right into place.

I have a lot of other stuff in the works including the strong possibility of an upcoming bash at casa de Crazy Joe. But I will leave it at that for now, and state my earnest intention to post more often (which will probably be forgotten about).

Till next time!

So I am Bored and Hyper!

What to say, Feeling a bit nostalgic for days gone by. But alas they are gone. I have been looking through some old photos, and thinking about highschool, and college and the time right after. Seems like just yesterday, and yet it was so many years ago. When did we all get so old? When did everyone go out and get themselves careers and families? What happened to our hair!?! Planning for retirement?! What the hell!

Never sure who will stumble across this sight. So for all you webstalkers out there heres an update. I own a co-op in Brooklyn now. Been living here for about a year and a half, and it is actually almost finished. Will it ever be totally done? I doubt it, but it still rocks pretty hard.

I am a career computer technician, Sr desktop support, Jr Network stuff. Currently inbetween jobs and not too interested in ever going back to work. So I better win the lotto soon. Job hunting kinda blows, but thats probably a more appropriately crazee rant for another post.

I have a list of projects I need to get to.

Need to 100% once and for all finish Flesh Feast the motion Picture, burn the dvd’s print the dvd labels and ship em out to the masses.

Working on passing about half a dozen Computer certifications, so stupid Headhunters and HR people will drool and blow there loads over my resume and throw piles of money at me!

Then I need to get a job, where I can get paid an ungodly sum of money, and jerk off all day!

Got to get back on my diet, Put on a few pounds in the last few months, and that will just not do.

I need to get back into practice so I can win the world series of poker this year!

Finally I need to stop procrastinating! In the Immortal words of Ferris Bueller “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around every once in a while, you just may miss it!”
